3G DEVICE DEFINITION

What are the features required to be in mobile device to be called a 3G Mobile Phone ? Here is the crude definition of a 3G Device / 3G Mobile Phone:-

1. It must support 144KBPS or more data transfer rate
2. It must accept emails with attachments.
3. It must have access to Mobile Internet.
4. It must support color content.
5. It must be able to play video clips with audio.

So if you are carrying a low cost mobile, but you have the above capabilities, your are already a proud owner of a 3G Mobile Phone!

In India, you may not be able to check your datarate, as no operator has 3G network in place.
